Cocina is a beautiful, artsy warehouse conversion based in East London.
Its title reflects its most notable feature; the kitchen. This fantastic space is warmed in-tone with the presence of varnished wooden floorboards, wooden units and psychedelic art propped against its walls. Next to the dining table is a wonderful reading nook, placed thoughtfully in front of a large bay of windows, keeping the space alive with natural light. Here, clients will find a small sofa, bookshelves and plenty of plants surrounding. Adjacent is another cosy space, fitted with a larger sofa, a television and more bookshelves. There is also a set of steps which lead up to the first bedroom, based on a mezzanine. This room showcases a double bed, more quirky decor and a large window to brighten up the space.
Back downstairs and by the main kitchen worktops, clients will find all essential appliances, including a wide vat basin, a coffee machine, microwave and a vintage oven and cooker. This part of the room also offers access to another loft bedroom via a retracting ladder - how fun! This bedroom has low ceilings but offers some natural light through skylight windows and even a small, peep-hole door which overlooks the kitchen area. It is minimal in decor but clients will find patterned upholsteries, vintage books and more plants and art scattered, adding to a calming atmosphere.
A huge living area, doubling-up as a creative studio, is accessible from the kitchen. This room presents tall ceilings and skylights, frosted windows and white-painted brick walls. There is a mix and match of furniture, ranging from wooden rustic tables, to vintage-style cabinets, chairs, lampshades, rugs and even a retro vinyl record player. With plants and vines hanging from the ceilings, scattered around the room and verdant trees visible through the windows, this room has a luscious biophilic vibe, enhancing its natural tones and bringing clients closer to nature.
The bathroom at Cocina is tiles. Black tiles cover the floor, contrasting with the otherwise pale interior. A charming stained glass window can be found just above the alcove bath which is tucked away in the corner, as well as by the sink, adding some colour to this minimalistic washroom.
A mystical courtyard bursting with greenery awaits outside the property - vintage-style patio furniture is set across wooden decking, proving perfect for outside dining and socialising.
This fantastic shoot location can also be hired with an event set up, boasting an elevated design through elegant decor and arrangements.
With a blend of modern and retro interiors and decor, an abundance of space and a minimalist foundation, Cocina is a highly versatile home with plenty of creative opportunities on offer for shoots. To make this gem part of your next project, get in touch with us today.
