Built in 1846 and overlooking Southampton’s Royal Pier, Bugle is a marvellous Grade II listed Victorian townhouse. Known as Southampton’s most beautiful Victorian building, the house is located in the heart of the historic city. Following an extensive makeover, the once derelict property has been painstakingly restored; the old bones of the building sitting alongside modern, artistic styling to create a unique canvas for shoots. Creative design and unique props are incorporated throughout, adding personality to each space.
Clients enter via a dusky marble hall which has intricate hand-painted pastel plasterwork and a gorgeous pink chandelier. Bugle’s triple-aspect grand ballroom, appropriately named ‘Wonderland’, floods with natural light and features a wall of panelled antique mirrors, running the entire length of the room and brightening up the space even more. Up a grand winding staircase are 3 reception rooms, an intimate dining room, two of which allow access to a large balcony and which offers views of the Solent. Across the top two floors are 7 ensuite bedrooms which are all available for shoot and stay requests. Down in the basement is Bugle’s party room, fitted with neon lights and a graffitied ceiling - there’s also a domestic and commercial kitchen, both of which are fully equipped.
