Introducing a brilliantly unique location, Jansons is a quirky and stylish family home located in the North of London.
The exterior is formed with a mix of polyester and metal materials, creating an interesting texture, whilst disguising the home as a modern warehouse unit. The front of the house offers a spacious stone patio with a table and seating, perfect for outside dining. Healthy olive trees surround this courtyard area, adding to the tropical atmosphere that is consistent throughout.
Indoors, you’ll find walls and units formed in a light wood, along with wooden beams spread across the ground floor ceilings. In the kitchen, black cubic storage units await, contrasting with eye-catching terrazzo tiles, matching tastefully with the kitchen island worktop. The island, conveniently opposite from the sink, features an electric stove and workspace for cooking. Attached to the island is a beautiful wooden breakfast bar with plenty of seating and space, making it useful for shoots.
Out of the kitchen and down by a few steps, clients will discover the open-plan living area at the opposite end of the property, presenting more seating, more plants and a simple but chic bookshelf. Here, the garden can be accessed through glass sliding doors, simultaneously inviting in lots of bright natural light. Outside, clients will find another stone patio and steps with gorgeous plants both scattered and thoughtfully potted.
Jansons encompasses biophilia in its true element, making it a beautiful space for nature lovers and those who have a taste for eco-friendly textures, materials and decor.
Looking up the magnificent green staircase in the centre of the house, clients are presented with views of the sky through an incredible glass ceiling, supported with more wooden beams. At night time, the dark sky and stars are pleasantly accessible to the eye.
On the first floor, all bedrooms and bathrooms can be found, tucked behind uniform, wooden doors, in keeping with the rest of the walls. All bedrooms are cabin-like and keep consistency within their colour palettes, decorated humbly in warm and pastel tones.
The children’s bedroom features an eye-catching bright orange built-in bunk bed, matching perfectly with its curtains, trinkets and graphic art. Another children’s bedroom showcases a vibrant green bunk bed, a study area and a baby crib.
The adult bedrooms are minimal in decor and keep a rustic theme with neutral colour palettes. Both have wide and tall windows, allowing views of the outdoor greenery.
The main bathroom features an alcove bath between monochrome tiling and black sanitary fittings. Of course, plants hang gently over the bathtub, creating a fresh and relaxing atmosphere to this otherwise minimal space. In this room, the wooden wall panels consist, albeit broken up by mirrors and contrasting wall and floor tiles.
This marvellous house has handy transport links, plenty of free space, and a multitude of backdrops. Its timeless design and minimal decor makes it a fantastic choice for creative projects - get in touch today to book Jansons in for your next shoot!
