Medallion is a classical Georgian manor house, set in 88 acres of parkland, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of Salisbury Plain.
Approached by a tree-lined drive, clients are welcomed by the incredible 10,000 sq. ft home, offering 3 bedrooms and 4 reception rooms available for shoots.
The kitchen is painted in a bright red and features wooden-based storage units and furnishings alike, maintaining a traditional cottage-like feel. A huge kitchen island can be found here, with seating around to make-do as a breakfast bar. The floor is light, with natural stone tiling, complementing the deep oak dining table, finished with red and green chairs.
In the main open-plan reception/ dining room, clients will find a beautiful blend of contemporary and period decor in bright and pastel colours. Furnishings largely consist of dark wood and lay under a gorgeous Georgian coffered ceiling. The reception area has plenty of seating, a quirky central table and a marvellous marble fireplace. Like most of the rooms at Medallion, you’ll also find lots of framed art, adding more character to the already visually-stimulating decor.
A small room on the ground floor houses more beautiful vintage furnishings, a grand piano and a foosball table; another outstanding marble fireplace can also be found here, with more art.
Further along, a cosy library can be discovered, layered in a deep red wallpaper. This space presents more seating, two large bookshelves and tall sash windows, allowing in plenty of natural light. A study area is also featured here, tucked away towards the back of the room.
Ancillary spaces at Medallion include a laundry room, boot room and thatched Georgian dairy.
All bedrooms feature unique patterned wallpaper, adding wonderful visual texture to each space.
The master bedroom features a lovely vintage four-poster bed, lined with sage traditional bed hangings. A fireplace can be found next to the bed, an intricate mirror above and wooden chairs beside.
The impressive ensuite bathroom, also presenting itself with an eye-catching botanical wallpaper, is very spacious and offers seating, a modern freestanding roll-top bath, a double-basin vanity unit and a fireplace, all across a light wooden floor.
Outside at Medallion, spread across 4 acres of verdant formal and informal gardens, clients will find a pond, original water fountains, topiary and a magnificent 20 x 5 metre pool. You’ll also find a Georgian stables complex (with the original loose-boxes in-tact), a stable yard, mature specimen trees, a garden kitchen, a period greenhouse and a tennis court. There are also 3 additional thatched cottages, which are available for exterior shooting upon request. What more could you want or need?
Medallion is undoubtedly an incredible property, offering a wealth of backdrops, an abundance of space and carefully-decorated interiors, mixing the old with the new. Get in touch today to book this gem for your next shoot.
